We are open everyday from 7 AM to 7 PM. It would be helpful if you can provide us with directions and/or cross streets in order for our instructors to get to your place right away. You can also call our 24-hour voicemail (461-1940) to leave a message.
If you live in an apartment, please provide us with the name of your apartment. We usually meet our students at the Leasing Office of the apartment complex.
Our school provides 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage and 2002 Toyota Corolla with automatic transmission and dual brakes. The vehicles are insured and maintained in excellent operating condition at all times. They are annually inspected by the DMV.
Adjust seat, mirrors, put on seat belt. Orientation on the car's controls. Instruction on starting the car, use of turn signals, gas and brake pedals. Use of 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock hand position. Instruction on entering and leaving traffic, interpreting road signs, use of proper seeing habits coordinated with proper use of brake and accelerator. Training on secondary roads (residential areas), practice right and left turns (about 15-20 times), then stop and go light traffic (25-35 mph).
Second Lesson (3 rd to 4 th Hour)
Steering, cornering, right and left turns, stop signs (2-way and 4-way stops). Practice straight driving, speed control and lane change in medium to heavy traffic (35-45 mph). Practice driving in school zone. Practice parking in parking lots and turning at controlled intersections.
Third Lesson (5 th to 6 th Hour)
Review of previous lessons. Practice parallel and angle parking, 3-point turns. Freeway driving (only if the student is ready for it). Turning at intersections (about 8-10 times). Backing up and sample road test.
